Into the wood is a school for carpentry, in vermont. vermont is also a major producer of maple syrup, although, the two are not related in any way.

The logo was inspired conceptually by Native American totem poles, which were often used as icons to welcome visitors, with the symbol of a woodpecker at the head of the totem pole. Below is the program booklet for Into the Wood, where you can find detailed information about each class offered, including scheduling, names of instructors, & pricing. The design was inspired by some vintage tool catalogues and magazines.

Below are the certificates that students receive upon completion of individual courses. Each class rewards a small wooden block with the icons hand printed on, as well as a laser cut and etched wooden box with a hand printed logo as well.

Below is a responsive site designed for learning about the courses and registering for class.
